Turn and Draw!

So this is me opening up… I was never taught how to draw i just picked up a crayon one day & never looked back. In my room have a art store (literally) crayons,markers,paper,glitter,blades,paint etc… I’m talking TONS!! Its a problem. These are a few of my drawings, though I have abstract & typography pieces as well lets just focus on the drawings for now. The black & white pieces are from college back in 2006…
This last piece i can relate to the most because it’s my most recent one. I did this over the Summer in 2009.
‘ERIK‘ who was my muse then came to me & told me he had to move out of NYC & ask me to draw him something he could bring back home for memory sake.
Understand this was my 1st time drawing in over 2years & with complete total creative freedom to draw whatever i wanted working on this was very emotionally for me!
I dont know how long this took me *i believe time is an illustion* some days i loved it some days i didnt want to finish it. ‘Everyday is different’
I decided to used ONLY color pencil & markers in the piece -this was my 1st attempt blending with pencils & markers-
Overall I’m happy with it! My muse did bring out a side of me i needed to connect with & I will forever love him for that….bring on the next muse! lol *wink*
